In my final year of BA (Hons) Fine Art degree at University Campus Suffolk, I'm fascinated in spatial awareness and how we perceive space. Using my art practice I'll be exploring our perception of the large scale and small scale environments.
Working in the discipline of installation art I utilise sculpture, painting, printmaking and photography in the creation of my work.
With past projects incorporating themes such as Time and Identity, my current work is an exploration of the space around us, but more specifically our perception of that space. An ability to visualise a given site in my mind and know what will work has enabled me to develop concepts that are not just space fillers, but actually work with a site to the point where this arena becomes an integral part of the art installation.
My art is very much process led and this is as important to my practice as the final outcome. For me, the processes are my art practice as they dictate to a large extent how a final piece appears and is presented to the viewer.
