The Joys of spending a bursary.
POST formed at the end of 2008 after the seven artists involved exhibited at the Liverpool International Artists exhibition during the Liverpool Biennial. Inspired by each other’s work, and with international ambitions, the group applied for a go and see bursary.
Three months, and a successful application later, and we are organising for two of our members to travel to Linz, European Capital of Culture 2009. Cecilia Kinnear and Claire Weetman will be in Austria from 13 – 17 April, with the intention of meeting female artists based in the city of Linz.
Today has been constructively spent working out the best way of using the bursary to get our two members to Linz for under £500 – but we think we’ve cracked it. We’ll keep you updated about how the trip goes, and about the artists we meet along the way.
