We have been testing, trying out new parameters and generally just exploring ‘what ifs’. The unintended or ‘happy accidents’ are often more interesting visually. All of this collaboration has so far been virtual, but we are at a stage now where we need to test it through live projections and drawings at full scale. A ‘testing’ phase at King’s College planned this June is now on hold, so this blog will go on hold until we are in a position to test this work in the real as opposed to the virtual world!
I am now collaborating with Chris by sending him my scanned drawings and he is writing code to animate the drawings in response to – this will be the final stage – live streamed bio-sensor data. It’s been very very useful to have done some coding myself, as I can now understand his process and make practical suggestions about which direction to take next from an informed position. These experiments and tests respond to a project with Dr Anne Pollock, King’s College London. We are exploring ideas for an interactive event some time in 2021. Her research is concerned with ‘heart centred’ ways of knowing, hence the drawings..
