One of the things that make me personally follow an Instagram account is the way the feed looks. Of course, the content or the theme of the account is really important, but many percent of the audience tends to like the aesthetically pleasing ones more than the other.
Of course there are accounts with high following based on the creators popularity not only on the platform: actors, athletes, writers etc… but the accounts that gained their popularity on instagram tend to work on the aesthetics more.
An example is this post from Helene (found at  https://heleneinbetween.com/2017/03/create-instagram-theme.html )

A good example of a great aesthetics is the account of czech artist Kašpar Matouš, whose instagram I recently started following based on his feed that is constructed of an amazing collection of original work.

What I believe is successful about his account is the way all of his paintings are displayed in the same way with a similar colour palette. It is hard to achieve this on my art account as my work is very diverse colour and size wise. That is something I will have to work on as I really aim to advertise my work through social media.

WHAT CAN YOU YOUR FEED (Instagram) GIVE YOU
one of the things is support by various brands. The feed looks good for their account, which is why they want their stuff to be a part of it. I have experienced it myself as I also took some time in highschool to have a nice and neat feed. That led to accounts reaching to me to have their stuff mentioned on my feed etc.
It can then continue towards working on Instagram as a regular jon.
