‘Shared Ground’ is a further collaborative book arts and printmaking project between the BA Fine Art Course at Wirral Metropolitan College and Brigham Young University’s BAFA programme, Utah, USA.
Concerned with our relationship to ‘place’ we hope to unravel and reveal, to ourselves and each other, how places become significant to us.
The collaboration runs from 2 – 11 May and will involve workshops, presentations, discussions and many walks.
Michelle Rowley Finding Home
I have lived in Liverpool for more than twenty years, but I haven’t always felt at home here especially in the first few years. My book is about my first home, it is the place where I made my own roots and friends, where I built my own personal history within the city and it’s communities. It took me a while to find it, but I’m glad I did. Being here has shaped me into the person I now am.
Amber Lauritzen A Closed Door…
This book consists of doors around Liverpool. You never know who you will meet and what experiences you will have when you go through a door. Different opportunities await you behind each door, your job is to open it.
