Hello Everyone!
I’m sending a brief message to let you all know about LOAF 2013
(LOAF stands for Life & Other Art Festival)
It is an annual event, and this year will be held on July 6th and 7th at The Coach House Arts Centre, Rectory Rd Oldswinford, Stourbridge. It is a fairly intimate event, originally started by the Life Drawing group as a way to view each other’s art work. Over the last four years it has grown, and now takes place over the whole weekend: 10-5 Saturday, 11-4 Sunday. It encompasses the best of the work that the drawing group have done over the year… not just their life drawing, but the rest of their practice too. The Rebellious Quilters show a wide range of textile work. Refreshments provided include an astonishing array of delicious home made cakes!
The exciting development that happened in 2010 was that my shed installation formed part of the exhibition… sited in the courtyard of the coach house, it plays host to a variety of poets and singer songwriters, as a showcase for original talent. I am hugely proud of this part of the event… my shed looks great, and the music is always of a tremendous high standard, and we are beginning to get a bit of a reputation…
It would be great if you could come, please seek me out and say hello if you do. If you can’t come, but know of anyone else you think would like to join us in drinking tea, eating cake, looking at beautiful things and listening to wonderful acoustic music, please spread the word far and wide!
