I’ve been working on a print making technique that I can’t seem to escape even as I move around to other ideas and explore them, it still lingers and I keep coming back to it in the studio. I think there is something that fundamentally speaks to me about this process and the result. My discovery of it through a childrens scientific experiment website, and my interest in it since. The work I’ve made so far seems to talk about beauty, anomalies, structures and systems under stress and about to fail, which is what I love about it.
I think this next week I’m going to revisit the origins of this iridesence work and look at transfering this type of imagery to other surfaces, look again at its possibilities.
