BA (Hons) Fine Art – I am in my final year at Staffordshire University studying Fine Art. My Practice involves sculpture and installation relating closely to elements within Modernism, taking inspiration from Modernist paintings and architecture.

Just experiments for now but can’t decide which i prefer – with or without the perspective lines??
These are some pieces i have started making for an exhibition at CoRe Enson Works in Longton – Stoke-on-Trent. The piece explores the floor plans of the building and highlighting the particular room which it will be exhibited in.

My degree show piece – exploring the architecture and shapes which arise from Staffordshire University’s campus in Stoke-on-Trent.
Experimenting for the Degree Show
Here are a number of laser cut components which are originally sourced from the shape of Staffordshire University’s campus. I am layering and placing the different components to reconfigure the original layout of the campus.
This wall drawing is situated in my university studios. The image is of the perimeter of the studios – viewed from Google Maps. The first photograph is taken from the angle of the projector which i used to draw it up with, this is also the closest to how the perimeter appears on Google Maps. The other photographs, taken from different angles, show just how much the shape has been distorted – simply through projecting it onto the wall and floor. This distortion carries on further as you walk around the shape and view it from different angles.
