Many thanks for your interest in the AHRC CDA on artists-led contributions to the cultural value agenda and for taking the time to produce and submit a project proposal. We were overwhelmed by the response to the scholarship, having received 16 eligible applications. The selection process was not easy, but having assessed all applications for potential contribution to scholarship, fit with the project, sophistication of the policy angle, effective use of the a-n archive and originality we ranked them and selected the top four applicant for interview. I am afraid that your project did not quite make the top of the ranking, so we won’t be pursuing your application further on this occasion. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however, I do hope that you might find other opportunities to realise your PhD ambition, and I wish you all the best in this endeavour….
