Tempting Failure approaches, and with the weight of time pressing heavily, Cullinan succumbs to the basic physical call to create; now is the moment to mould the accoutrements that will dispense core emotions to come.
With their collaborative process well established in the dual vision of CICATRIX MACULA (PARATUS), the artists, now under the nomenclature of SSoCiaL, reflect upon the origins of their alliance. Meeting by chance whilst undertaking a phraseological study of menagerie, the pair immediately realised a parity of material and metaphysical concepts linking them directly in the form of one, as yet unrealised, performative work. The changing paradigms of shifting demands have formed a complex and circuitous concoction the commencement and denoument of which are now lost in time. Only the now exists; the presence of which is forcing itself ever insidiously forwards.
Questions of the actual containment of both fear and elation into one small vessel are now paramount. Size matters.
Never ones to let the inadequacies of material and celestial limitation prevent the execution of doctrine, SSoCiaL will be providing a feast of sorts, though it is unlikely to be Cordon Bleu.
