Final submission piece for the Themes, Theories and Practice module at University. After discovering the phenomenon of the social media suicide note, I decided to create a sculpture that conveyed the sadness and isolation of those suffering from Mental illness.
The finished sculpture is made from cardboard. it was my intent to use a material that reflected the state of mind of the person writing the notes. A fragile material that is easily broken down, but is deceptively strong, we just don’t realise it, until it is too late.
