I had a suggestion from my tutor , that I have to take the photographs from the foam board because gave less value of my work . after that I decided to take some of my photograph out from the foam board , then pined them on the wall. The reason for me to put some of the photo in frames and the other without frame is a kind of a statement.
Women with scarf’s all the time people put them in framed.
I chose one of my art work to put it on the wall , with 6 Images. After that I put them on the wall, then I changed my mind Because I wanted to add another work on my wall. My tutor advised me to put only 4 Images of my art work with the other 2 works. Try to allow the examiner to see my other work , to see who I am and what I am trying to achieve from my art works.

Stitch and decoration are a symbol of pain and the dilemma of being a woman.
I came with the Idea of belonging or not belonging, which sometimes make me confused as a Muslim woman coming from a different culture to another country. It can be very hard to fit in, but we n be part of this new society.
I decided to make a female figure, half Western and the other half Middle Eastern. That is why I used a polystyrene head. I made the body to represent two people as one. I used red threads to symbolise pain, missing and mending. I bought a blonde wig, a scarf, a long sleeves dress and a sleeveless dress.
