This is my recent work. I have been exploring the differences between everything , culture ,materials, humans, believes . As human we have the same feelings , even we still different the way we are look, colours , culture and background.
I tried to used two different shape and colours of two plates, plain one and multi colours one which indicate to two different culture. As I came from different background it is very hard to fit in , in a different society but sometimes you can fit it but there still gab between everything. Even if you try to make yourself home but still missing everything from your homeland.
in this work , I decided to explore the idea of the differences in material which I used the acrylic paint to to do print making and I put this images to show to the viewer what I have done .
Then I decided to do printmaking with different material which I used ink and I did the same process. I found when I finished my print the images was completely different , was shiny and vibrant . Gave me the effects I wanted .
I tried many different material to print . I tried cartridge paper and cardboard. I got different affects in each one. On paper the colours was shiny and vibrant and on cardboard gave me and created the texture of the colours plus the vibrant , which created spaces between the colours.
My recent work is about what is happened in Egypt. I been watching and listening to radio about what Isis been doing killing and burning people. this group of people are not Muslims . As a Muslim we should be kind, treating people in good way our Islam did not tell us to do that. We have to live in the world as it is . we can not judge people about what they believe Or even hurting anyone. We all are human there is no differences between anyone. We should be role model for everyone. Muslims , Christian , Jewish, no religious we are all the same, live in the same societies.
The recent news is there is 21 Christian people have been killed by Isis in Libya. What a horrible feelings when you see there is lots problems all over the world. Even there is also three innocent people have been shouted in their head because their religion . This feelings freak me out belonging to this world.
This piece of art-work is about Egypt. I am trying to express my feelings about my country. Egypt is ruled by a fascist dictator and there is no democracy in my country. People are divided and many are very unhappy about our ruler, myself included. However there are also many people in support of him. I used an Egyptian newspaper as well as threads with different colours, using red and green, the colours of Egyptian flag itself in my jigsaw piece. The jigsaw symbolises the different aspects and opinions of people and the fact that there is something missing. As it is easy to loose a piece of a jigsaw puzzle. I used Egypt as symbol of the situation in Middle East. All of the Middle East is now falling apart. Since early 2011, the rulers of Tunisia, Egypt and Libya have been driven to exile or behind bars.

In my first year at UCS when I was told to start to think about my theme and I was not sure what and how I should start, then it suddenly crossed my mind to choose Egypt as the subject of my theme. I made a piece of art work about Egypt . But before I started to do the work I made lots of sketches until I decided on the final piece.

In this piece of work , I decided to print on a piece of wood. I decided to do this work because I like printmaking as I found myself in this subject. I tried to explore many Ways to do print by using different colours mixed them together,explore different techniques. Since I started to study fine arts in UCS, I felt That I inspired from the way my Touter Sarah show it to me, how I used different material in print and nothing will stop me to do it and the way I break the rules in the printmaking by showing different artists using different ways. This piece I used I Lino cut . I used arabic text and try to break the word. It shows the pain and the suffer people can faced nowadays all over the world. The word ( السلام) which mean in English ( peace).
Word peace mean the absence of war or other hostilities.
