Not a daily blog! Meant to be but due to lack of internet access it has been reduced to this. It actually made the residency better as there were no distractions. Just finished Prefab-Lab with curators, Elaine Fisher and Lucy Gresley. Intense working, discussions with the four other artists and curators, field recordings, thinking, reflecting, writing, looking at other exhibitions – all the things that go to make a successful residency. Oh, and creating artwork! This was a research –based residency that explored how artists work and how that work can be transformed into an exhibition. In four days, I didn’t manage to create something brand new in the sense of cutting edge, but learnt a lot of new things and created an installation that would not have happened otherwise.
