Champions Novia moved level on points with the leaders – winning against Universo by two goals to one. Universo executive: ‘When you look at some of the decisions that went against us, it makes one think whether our activism off the field can influence some of the key decisions on the field. I think that ref needs to take a long look at himself…’

Sporting Radio: Pundit D: ‘You know what? It is a strange league…Novia were playing dreadfully earlier on in the season and now they’re in with a decent shout..’

Lunderbach and Indentine both remained in the basement with defeats against Red Star and Yop Lane.

Novia dropped vital points against the tough opposition of Red Star in a match that ended up two goals each….Novia boss: ‘”It is still possible for us to win the title, but we have to say we dropped two points and it’s terribly disappointing. We are all gutted.’ Bayerns were too strong for a weary looking Liver Halvers winning by three goals to one…Olby all but ended the Athletico challenge with a well earned one goal to nil victory…Green Tree pushed Indentine into the bottom two relegation zone with a well balanced and confident performance….
The Sporting League: Game 30
Yop Lane continued their role as party poopers by getting a last minute goal against leaders Bayerns…Yop boss: ‘We’ll take that. Our players look after themselves and we proved that by putting in a shift defensively. We got a lot of stick this season for our so called defection from The Colbreck League but I think we’ve always been a Sporting League team at heart.’
Sporting Radio: Pundit A: ‘I dunno, look I think Yop have earned their stripes. If you look at it objectively, they’ve played some of the most exciting stuff this season? We need to look at our defensive policy next season and kick on from there…’
Novia were quick to take advantage of the leaders slip up to win by three goals to nil away to Lunderbach.
Universo Collunteen continued their great run with a three goals to nil thrashing of Tranquilayers.

Novia overcame a potential minefield against a tricky Metronova but showed their class winning two goals to nil away from home…Olby made hard work of their match against Chamber Athlete, eventually winning with a tap in at the death…Bayerns made life difficult for Green Tree winning by three goals to nil. Green Tree boss..’I thought we played our percentages well there in the first half, but some of the younger players began to tire in the second half. I think we’re really looking at getting another eight points to secure safety for ourselves.’
