Pointeso made easy work of their home match versus Chamber Athlete – running out as four goals to nil winners.

Chamber Athlete gaffer: ‘We can’t use the downturn in our finances as an excuse for poor form. We need to just steady ourselves during the early period of our matches. The Pointeso set-up is going to be tough to keep up with for all the teams in contention. I can’t see Kite Vale keeping their form up to the end of the season…they’ll struggle when the injuries come. This Pointeso outfit are only going to get stronger.’

Kite Vale tore apart Olby away from home with a convincing five goals to nil away win.

Universo Collunteen won in the socialist duel against the industrialists of Zindustrious – winning by three goals to one.

Athletico kept their enemies close with a three – nil win over struggling woodsmen Green Tree.

Sporting League: Game 15

The top four teams all recorded comfortable victories as Pointeso held onto the top spot.

Pointeso gaffer: ‘They’re all big games with the competition being as tough as it is. I can see it coming down to nth degree statistics again when we hit the business end of the season.’

Meanwhile, across Hilti Bay, the Novia boss sent out a reminder to the rest of the pack. ‘Look, we’re only four points off the top and have been beaten just the once. I’m jus’ relaxin’ at the mo’….too many of the Pointeso players are more concerned with their hipster lifestyles and may yet come unstuck. Don’t get me wrong, you’ve gotta have ’em down as favorites but I still think we could have a say later on in the season.’
