The Sporting League: Game 12

Tranquilayers moved back to the top of the table with a one goal to nil win against struggling OlbyUniverso Collunteen were comprehensively outplayed against the avante garde Pointeso, a late goal saved them from defeat as they held on to a one – one draw…Delta made it three games without defeat as they moved off the bottom of the league drawing nil – nil with Indentine…Champions Novia fell off the pace a little as they were held to a two all draw with Chamber Athlete. Chamber gaffer: ‘We were almost at the races today. I feel that our kids have been sufferin’ from a bit of the ol’ aprosexia of late, so to get a point against the champs will give me a good nights kip for the first time since me summer ‘ols.’

Sporting League Game 11

Universo won the battle of the top two against Tranquilayers – taking pole position. Sporting Radio Pundit Y: ‘The Universo no 1 striker scored an absolute beauty and that proved to be the difference between the teams. The Universo had the ball, they kept posession and played very well, very well. I mean the passing, the pass range was pin point, pin point from deep. This side can really play, their no 2 player, the way this one plays, they’ve never had a player like it…a really skillful player…that goal scored out there today was a classic footballing goal. I can only see this side getting better and better and better.’ Champions Novia won against their yellow rivals Yop Lane with a solitary goal scored by their super sub separating the sides in an ill tempered duel…Pointeso continued their mini revival after a poor start to the season with a two goals to one victory over ColneDelta had their second game in a row without defeat as they held Red Star to a nil – nil draw.
