I think the next step is to add a motor of some kind just to see how it effects my work and how it interacts, but i will build it so it is possible to keep the sculpture able to be hand turned
Heath Robinson
Heath Robinson illustrated complex constructions or machines which were absurdly large for the task they were proposed for. I have discussed the notion of creating something big and overbearing again using kinetics and machine in some way for an end product that is seemingly small and pointless.

Rebecca Horn
Although not completely relevant to my work i like the idea of body modification within Rebecca Horns work. I like how her artwork and way of working is a means to physically extend herself through her art. She has used her art as a way of over coming something, such as an extension of her hands to pick something far off the ground.
She has also created an artwork where she enables herself to draw with her face. Reflecting upon this she has used sculpture as a means to overcome some sort of problem, whether it is useful or not.

The bird plan
This is the original plan behind my current sculpture project. It has turned out that the original plan was not as easy to accomplish and alot of additions and editing had to take place, although this was the case this didn’t hinder the original concept.
Panamarenko
These artworks by Panamarenko show a concern in one way or another with flight. He has used material perhaps not suited to the task of real flight but instead show how it could be possible. Like Da Vinci and how he designed ideas for flight but never created them, Panamarenko has took a physicality and used materials which would make it impossible to fly with. Both artists have proposed an idea but with it the reality of what they have created is something that is completely unattainable.
This brings forward how my creation is completely useless in that it doesn’t do anything but has the applications to do so if i wished.
