I am in the process of creating separate stations in a bid to combine them as one working piece for the finale at the degree show.

I think the next step is to add a motor of some kind just to see how it effects my work and how it interacts, but i will build it so it is possible to keep the sculpture able to be hand turned

Heath Robinson illustrated complex constructions or machines which were absurdly large for the task they were proposed for. I have discussed the notion of creating something big and overbearing again using kinetics and machine in some way for an end product that is seemingly small and pointless.

Although not completely relevant to my work i like the idea of body modification within Rebecca Horns work. I like how her artwork and way of working is a means to physically extend herself through her art. She has used her art as a way of over coming something, such as an extension of her hands to pick something far off the ground.

She has also created an artwork where she enables herself to draw with her face. Reflecting upon this she has used sculpture as a means to overcome some sort of problem, whether it is useful or not.
