Today is a studio day,
I have the keys to the studio, there is approximately just over 2 weeks until the grand opening, which is cutting it pretty fine.
But on the plus we have Rhodri Brooks confirmed for the opening! He’s a great songwriter, he’s just released his demo tape. He’ll be doing an electric set if we can get a pa on the cheap, if not, he’ll be doing an acoustic set so its win – win really.

Priorities?
What constitutes a priority, in creative practice? Par deadlines, I’ve been thinking alot recently about what projects necessitate the most focus and importantly, time.
So for its own sake, i’ll be listing my current projects, and a breakdown of their needs and wants.
1: B I T Studios – Finished all paperwork and legal waffle yesterday, opening now Jan 2013, with eight studios for early practicioners. Programme of events to hopefully come soon, in the form of artist talks, regular crittorials, film screenings, etc.
2: Old Victoria Buildings Revival – Site visits will be early next year, and the roster of artists is coming along slowly. Seperate blog here: http://www.fringeartsbath.co.uk/old-victoria-buildings-revival/
3: Milkwood Gallery Guest Curating – The next project is confirmed, but might be my last curated project, and will be a solo show of an artist who I have admired and appreciated for quite some time. This project will hopefully instigate more dialogue between artist & curator than other projects, which is something I am very much looking forward to.
4: My own practice – Seems to be suffering a little. I still want to look into all the same ideas, and from the new year, once I have settled into the new studios I hope i’ll be able to get back onto the proverbial horse.
What do other people think about the role of priorities in creative practice, or being pragmatic about projects in general?

Also nearly finished editing a video of new work, it looks at connection, grief and loss, in a somewhat physical manner. Creation of a memory, and a way to preserve that memory for recollection.
