This blog reflects the posts I write for Disability Arts Online where I write about my experiences as an Emergence Bursary Recipient.

This blog records an exciting collaborative project exploring dynamic materials that respond to changes in environmental conditions. Working with engineers we will create a series of prototypes over the next 8 months and explore their sculptural and architectural potential.

I will develop making my work accessible to children using an extract from my performance Unknown Statue integrating Makaton language to communicate signs & symbols within the work. Supported by a-n bursary 2019 programme supporting self-determined professional development.

I’m proud to be presenting my PhD research at the GAS 2019 conference in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA. This blog will share some of the related events and highlights of the conference. It will also take in galleries and museums in the area.

An upcoming solo show exploring humanity’s ongoing fascination with myths – from ancient Greek legends to modern superheroes and ‘fake news’. Opening July 6 at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre. Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
