ok im going to start this thing of from the beginning of my second year of uni, which is where my work really started becoming what it is today.

These next couple of posts are going to look at my work so far, i look how people perceive themselves and how we perceive others.

We all look different and act different but each one of us has the same core scientific elements that make up our biological beings.

Most of my work uses elements found within the human body and plays with the imagination of the audience. So far my favourite mediums to work in have been Iron, Copper, Potassium, Lead, Resin, Icing Sugar, Fibre glass and Charcoal.

So as you can see from the above list I’m not a tidy artist, or a perfectionist, but there’s one thing that’s curtain… I’m every health and safety official’s nightmare.

This means there’s a lot of things that I would like to do with my work but can’t because, unfortunately, as i have to abide by the rules. Things such as seeing what blood would look like inside resin, human blood of course, as it would be cheating myself as an artist, and the viewer by using anything else. Also things like suspending glass sheets from the ceiling with imprints on, and mirrors above to reflect the viewer through the imprint, but alas money and rules come into consideration.

Anyway, enough rambling, lets crack on.

The next couple of videos will describe some of my main pieces of work so far and will be a general slide show of images (with commentary). I am doing this as a video rather than loading up over 1000 images (limit to 5 photos a post), to save you, the reader from having to read the amount of rambling I would have to do in roughly 200 posts, and because each of my photos is average 3mb (each) and I would have to down size every one of them just to put them on here!!

So sit back and enjoy…
