I have taken the head off an angel, and used it to cast another two heads that I have also used. with these three plaster heads, I have carved out a hole in the top, which I have then melted a candle into the top and put string in the top for when the wax cooled down, essentially I had made three candles, something which I enjoyed creating, enjoyed the look of them and I think they work well as a piece as long i i were to paint them in the future for a better appearence. I have attached the images of these to this post.
I have decided to use these in the degree show, however I will have to buy led candles, ones that will be allowed with health and safety as im not allowed fire with public, apparently its not a good mix…
These candles will be around the edge of the dark room which I am going to create. This will add a darker effect of skulls and heads, but it will also serve a practical use as the audience will be able to actually see the edges of the wall. I say this because I put a lantern in the dark space and I ended up walking into the walls as they were painted black and did not reflect any of the light back at me, causing me to loose judgement of where the wall was. These candles will help to solve this problem, and also give a walk way for an audience, who will walk round a specific route.
Today I have finished making the second angel, the angel which has one of its legs bent so that in the future I will get it to look like it is about to crush something, for example make it standing on sphere representing the earth. This angel will be suspended up high and I have decided that when I show the angels I will scatter them about, half of them being up high looking at an audience, with around 3 at a level of the audience, where they will look at the audience to try and cause a feeling of unease and nerves. I want the audience to be aware of these statues and have the feeling that they are always being watched, as if they are being judged by angels sent from above. Attached to this post I have included a picture of the first angel standing next to the sedcond one, as of yet I am usure what I am going to paint on them, or even if I am going to paint on them at all.
and here is a video of the doll making process =)
My girlfriend had a few weeks off and decided to film some of what I was doing to help her experiement ideas for her film class. I have been given two small films, one of how far I have got with the fish clock and one of me making a doll angel which will be written about in due time. here are the videos;

From the clock post here are the other two pictures which have now been scaled down smaller so that I could upload them;
