Here is a video of me making the mould to be able to make my doll heads out of due to pouring wax into my last mould, which has left bubbles in the mould which come through on the heads as a textured skin. This video is me trying to make a new mould, which in the end did not work out and the mould fell to pieces, I think it is because im too impatient, but I tried to make this mould 3 times and all three times it failed, I’m not sure what it is I’m doing differently compared to before when it worked really well and it took no time at all to make. I have now settled with having the textured heads as I have come around to liking them more.

Here is someone who last year I would sit and watch her videos. These videos would be speed paintings and her name is ‘MaryDoodles’. Attached to this post I will put up the video of the coffee panda, one of my favourite videos of someone creating art. I love how the coffee has been used similar to watercolours and how the ink on top has worked really well. The final outcome is amazing and seeing how it was created is even better. I have also posted up two images of otherwork that I liked from this artist, as found on her deviant art, and also I have seen the videos of how she did them ones too, love it!.

Alex cherry, the other artist mentioned from the previous post, is slightly different from the Hidden Moves artist, with not having as much block colour but having thinner lines with more detail, but less layers of colour involved in the work. This is shown for example in ‘Trash1’ which is just one layer of colour, with a gradient near the bottom. I like this image despite it being one layer due to the detail which is there. The lips on the face is something which I like, I personally think this is done really well. The same goes for ‘Remorse is for the dead, where the level of detail in the face is something that attracts my attention, even if the hands are abit basic in comparrison.
War Pigs is my favourite out of his works, I think is because of the content involving war and the animals which have been used to add humour and make it less serious. The use of the colour under the pigs is something which I enjoy to see as well, it has added to the imge rather than just having the block grey colours, which would have made the image darker and have a different feel to it.
http://www.eyesonwalls.com/ Is the site where I have seen these artists, and the same style which i have always been attracted to, the style of art which inspires me even if I dont use the same style in my own work.
Eyes on walls, the site where I have brought an artbook by the Lora Zombie artist talked about before. I have been looking at all the artists on this site and they all appeal to me, the two that are the most appealing to me are artists called Hidden Moves and Alex Cherry.
In this post I wanted to post up afew images by Hidden Moves.
The style of work here, shown in all three pieces is something which I want be able to achieve with stencils. I want to be able to get this quality of print, and the image to be at the same level of detail as the work which is shown here. I love the content with the humour being added in with the use of animals and little jokes within the art. This is something which has always interested me and something which I will aspire to be similar to.
An artist who I have been looking at since my first year of uni, is an artist called christian boltanski. This artist had influenced some of my first year work, by inspiring me to use the candles to show work, with the flickering effect and the lighting that a candle will give off compared with a normal light. This is similar to what I have been thinking with the candles which I intended to use in the degree show, however I had to get led lights that flickered instead, but the effect is roughly the same.
This artist had used dull lights to light up images, images which had a story behind them. The three examples which I have attached show how the lights have been used in a dark room, something which I really like the look of and want to have this expeirance in my work. However the story behind the images he useds is that it is images of holocaust survivors, which changes how you view the work completely. They go from being just portraits of people to having a darker meaning behind them, a story of survival. The lights give it an eerie feel which is what I want to achieve in my own work.
The third image here is my favourite piece by him, it shows alot of portraits and the scale of it is larger than the other two, however what interests me the most is the reflection of light which is seen on the floor. You can see the light reflecting there, but you cannot see the pictures which they are there to show you. The light is the part which I like the most about this piece of art.
