Post before this one, the last two images would not upload and im not too sure why at the moment, will post them up as soon as i can.
This post will be discussing a doll which I have brought. I brought two of these china dolls with the intention of creating a cast of them in different poses. After getting these dolls shown in the images attached I was dissapointed to find out that only the arms legs andhead where solid, with the body just being made out of padded material. I would have to add clay on top of these bodies so that I would be able to create a mould and make others in the future without damaging the mould. Also I have found out that the heads are made with a big gaping hole in the top which the hair attached too. I had to get rid of the hair and cover this whole up as you can see inside the hollow head. I have decided to only cast one doll while having the other one still clean and tidy, This way I can create different sculptures while at the same time having one neat which I can use for photographing.
