Furnace complete. Every thing is now set for tomorrow, all that needs to be done is to start a fire in the furnace to cure the fire cement, then hey presto one charcoal furnace.

Mini ‘masking arms’. Today was not what I expected to be doing in comparison to my larger works, as I’m running on empty on metal, in fact I dont have any and I couldn’t make any large works, but didn’t want to waste the day doing nothing, so I raided the metal bin to find scraps and this is the outcome of today.

Homemade charcoal furnace. I got started on the funace today and I am more than pleased with the out come, it looks really quite smart, even with the stuff it is made from.

Yesterdays video. Yesterday I felt like a broken man, I feel very isolated in my world.

Today my tutor said I’m taking this very seriously when asking about the various names of the machines I had made, to which completely bemused him, which took me back. As why would I not take my creation seriously, I have been intensely thinking about my project as you would think any artist to do. I was a total loss on him. To be honest it pissed me off, what am I meant to do as an artist? make potato prints on sugar paper to put on the fridge?
