‘Work trailer’.Bit of fun.

The ‘Masking Arm’. Today I have created the ‘Masking arm’, which is the device that attaches the soap masks to the subject’s face, I wanted the piece to be big, to intimidate the viewer that stood underneath of it, which I think it achieves.

In the studio making ‘soap masks’. I have started to make more ‘soap masks’ today as I am going to be making the ‘masking arm’ from the ‘soap factory’, also I have made a latex skull which then will be expanded inside the ‘soap mask’ to show us the effects of it being attached to a subject. Overall I am more than happy with how the masks are turning out and I am looking forward to developing the project further.

Bubble success. Today I did a test run of the bubble pump, to great effect. I’m pleased with the colour of of the liquid, in the liquid vessel, it has a real sense of glowing green toxic waste. It is a colour I wanted to capture from one of my favourite films, the ‘re-animator’, in the film there is formula to bring back the dead, which also so glows bright green and brings a great sense of mystery to what is in the concoction.
