I painted my exhibition space walls including sprucing up areas I am not showing work but need to look smart so as not to detract from the art.
I have also made a small test piece for my keys. I used various drill bits to make holes in a piece of MDF to give myself a trial run before i start putting the keys into the wall in the exhibition space.
I was pleased with the outcome and am excited to see the keys in the actual wall, though a little nervous i may mess it up!
The keys represent how memory is sometimes trapped in the subconcious and needs something to trigger it for it to emerge. The keys are the trigger and therefore are there but lying dorment
As you can see I am next to Kay & Sian which i am pleased about as their work will interact well with mine, Sians being a text piece and Kay’s being an installation.
