University Campus Suffolk

An exciting week for my practice, i have decided (already) what i would like to do when i graduate in 2012 for that year! a concept linked to my work of Admission and Admit it. something i would like to keep as away from uni as possible because i need to do something when i graduate!

As an experiment for the degree project i have explored the dark space and light with the mini people and mirror. Creating that spatial idea for the shop space is challenging as i go through the ideas i have settled with for the proposal to put forward to the council.

Inside the shop needs to explore those layers and significance of Admission theme. Its the day and night and light at day and night and the phase of from one space to another.

The text i am proposing to put on the window i would like to put on reversed so that when it is read from out of the shop it is reversed, when viewed from inside the shop it is reversed and yet shadow cast from light shining through onto the floor it is correct but you have to be inside the shop to read it correctly! That access theme coming in from Admission and the Admit themes.

Going through my Powerpoint presentation for my Degree Project was good to have done and i love talking about Art, though writing about Art is difficult.

Its difficult having an illness and studying. Its something that i have to live with Day to Day and the frustrations for me and my husband. But my tutors are all supportive and its important to have that support.

I do also believe that i should be more assertive and ask for help more and delegate! Thats something to work on!!

My art practice is taking a while to procure as with all installation work there is a lot of planning but that is all part of the process.

The Journey and the reflections are all key to my work. The way in which mirrors and reflective surfaces and Admission are all key to my working progress. It will be great to have some work to put up in my space that are some sort of grounding blocks, to move forward with in the process of Degree works for assessment.

At times like these i need to plan ahead and work out time scales and be proactive and practical.
