Denis Whiteside
From rationality to absurdity; the particular to the unspecific; self-defining mundaneness, these are some of the immaterial aspects that inform Whiteside’s text based work.
Through obfuscation he consciously operates where contrarious notions occur. When he states that ‘Nothing is nothing’, he may mean it’s something.
His art is all about the journey, the process and, like Samuel Beckett (possibly his biggest influence), he believes pasionately that “Art has nothing to do with clarity,does not dabble in the clear and does not make clear”.

Adrain Moakes
Adrian is primarily involved in creating site-specific public artworks inspired by local research and consultation, encouraging communities to participate in the enhancement and invigoration of their environment.
He also enjoys creating a variety of work for private and corporate clients, including sculptural furniture and unique pieces for individual gardens and exhibitions. He has made bespoke trophies and installations for schools, TV companies and cultural organizations.
‘Arc Fern’ and ‘Tube Fern’ are two recent pieces that explore the fascinating interrelationship between natural and architectural forms, as well as showing the great versatility of Adrian’s favourite material – steel.

Sharon Forrest
Sharon’s practice is concerned with the exploration of family history and memory working from archive photographs, film and personal possessions. Her aim is to produce a body of work which conveys meaning whilst remaining ambiguous and thought provoking. Memory may be individual or collective and by providing a visual symbolism through a variety of media she hopes to raise questions and provoke reaction in the viewer.Sharon’s current work in response to “Encompass” focuses on the effects of trauma on the human psyche through experiences of members of the British Armed Forces. Memories, flashbacks, and re- living traumatic events often manifest into overwhelming feelings of being “closed-in” or “enveloped” leading to deep psychological problems often left untreated. Her intention is to draw the viewer into the work and reflect on these aspects and draw attention to the affects of post traumatic stress often hidden “behind closed doors”.

Kerry Phippen – Contemporary Scottish Fine Artist
Kerry Phippen (b.1968 Perth Scotland) achieved First Class honours in Drawing for Fine Art at Swindon College of Art & Design (2001-04) followed by MFA with distinction at Bath Spa University College (2004-05). Her drawings and paintings are developed from a prolific output of sketches and Phippen’s playful dark narratives place an emphasis on beauty, humour and emotion.
Exhibiting extensively since graduation, Kerry’s work has been seen at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition (2008 and 2009); The Jerwood Drawing Prize (2006 and 2007); RWA Autumn Exhibition (2006,2007,2008,2009,2011); The Derbyshire Prize (2008); Royal Scottish Academy(2008) – winner of the Grampian Hospitals Arts Prize; The Celeste Painting Prize (2009); as well as several showings at London and New York Art fairs. Kerry’s ink drawing ‘Ghoul School’ is held as part of the collection of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum.
Kerry has been recently awarded ‘Excellence in watercolour’ for ‘Reindeer’s Tears’ at this year’s RWA autumn exhibition, from a series of work inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen’.
Robyn Woolston
Woolston intervenes within supply chains, re-appropriating product, meaning and metaphor. Located somewhere between Process and Povera, she presents a ‘rhizomatic’ assault on systems that place financial ‘profit’ above societal ‘value’ in a world defined by ‘finite’ resources.
Her practice covers Installation, Film and Photography.
Previous clients have included Guys Hospital / London, HM Prison Service, Intel, ITV, London Print Studio, Maerz Arts Association / Linz, Mitsubishi, National Geographic Traveller, Psychologies Magazine, Tenderpixel Gallery / London and the Walker Art Gallery / Liverpool.
