I hate when you have written loads and you were happy about it and for some reason it didn’t save. : (

Quickly going to resume my day so I don’t get behind on this again.

It has been a big day. I have had news from admissions today. I have been shortlisted for the studentship award for the MA Fine Art course. The interview will be on the 22nd April. I’m feeling nervous, this is a massive opportunity for my pratice and I really want to be prepared for the interview.

Today I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff I have to do for degree show, plus now preparing for the interview and the meeting about censorship two days later.

The sewing continues… it has been a slow day, but I haven’t stopped, I guess, slowly but surely. Same shape, same colours in different order, same detail, I wish I had achieved a bit more of a round shape, this is more like a cushion! I’m thinking to mabye do a over the head height sculpture where all these fabrics, acrylic plastics sculptures are attached to each other. Imagine a big pile of assymetrical shapes made in different materials that looks caotic and almost like falling down but at the same time content and secure? This is my latest thought about how I want the sculpture to look, will i get it?? you and I will have to wait and see.

I’ve completed another drawing today, really like this one. It reminds me of the decorated glass jars that I used to do when I was a child. Inside the jar you pour salt that has been rubbed in coloured chalk. Slowly making patterns of colours, like coloured rolling hills. I get a good feeling from this drawing. The more I think about it, the more I want to frame the drawings for the show. Although I haven’t got much money I think it will be a good investment. Or at least I hope so. Sigh.

Hasta mañana
