Performance Writing MA based at Arnolfini, Bristol
making language live on the point of collision and collaboration allowing trajectories away from print and page into installation, audio, digital, performance and visual arts
practice and theory meld(mould)ing space, physicality, location and context to fire words with new meaning
fluidity not fixing
it’s all about happening
Why did you come here ?
What do you want?
What do you want?
What do you want?
What do you want?
ask it again
What are these decisions made on?

In such a place, let’s walk. Rhythms help.
The same kind of ticket – though not the same ticket – may be used.

Count the multiplicity of options here! (then recount to be sure)
Surely you can see! Cannot it all be taken in in one short twenty-first century cram-packed glance?
Please, tap your fingers.
[behaviour, allegedly in the power of the individual, is fundamentally dictated by historical circumstances]

connectings
Repetition (Aomori Project), an evolving dance project linking Wales and Japan, conceived by Sioned Huws and performed with Reina Kimura, Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff, 9 June 2012.
‘Aomori is at the Northern most tip of Honshu Island, with short summers and long arctic winters. Forests of blue-green, mountains of soft linear impressions, seas of deep navy. In winter, the repetitive, silent snowfall arrives. A landscape transformed. The heartbeat slows down; the body is overwhelmed by a desire to rest, to lay horizontally in this blanket of white.’ (Sioned Huws, choreographer and dancer)
