I recently finished an abstract painting of ‘Eden’, part of a series trying to look afresh at spiritual ideas, re-interpreting the ideas for the twenty-first century. I haven’t had much feedback about it, it took a long time to do, I was working on it some of last year, finished it early this year. Eden appeals to me as a subject as I worked in landscape architecture and graduated from biological sciences, so I like a plant theme. I am trying to make portals, through which God could ‘speak’ to people if He likes. They are supposed to be meditative work, quiet, gentle. My new one is a bit different though.
