There is a walk on the Quantocks which I keep going back to. I will become familiar with it throughout the seasons. So far I have enjoyed the winter time walks, the colours especially. The Quantocks are known for the purple heather, but I love them for their rich browns in winter. I would dearly love to sit and paint, but in such cold weather my hands and me refuse to work, so the digital camera is my note pad.
What is the difference between the artist and walker?
As an artist, although I may be looking at things, I sometimes switch off and just walk.
