Mapping out my work on the floor i noticed that there was a pattern of absent faces, which i had not intentionally done. But as a process i tend to focus on detail. The image ‘Higher’ strikes me as as strong image. The absent face leads more to the individual imagination, allowing the audience to create there own facial representation of the person and project that onto the figure.  In effect creating there own idealized imaged.

There wasn’t much thought process in the making of this work it was purely created just to express and let loose. The pointillism works are very complex and take time as they are very small dots. So it was just a way to break free from the delicate making and concentration that is required in making these types of images.  Allowing a short break in between these works helps me to continue and further develop the types of images that i would like to create using dots. The image itself for Blue 2 was created from my imagination. It was a quick painting as you can see from the lines and markings, experimenting with the use of colour but not within the form but as a bold background.
