Today I had a tutorial and received my results. I got a 1:1 for this terms work which I am so pleased with, all that time & effort seems worthwhile now. I mean; it seemed worthwhile at the time because I enjoyed working on the installation and because I was happy with the final pieces. Yet… I am happier today because it is not just me that liked the work, the fact that I achieved a good mark makes me realise that (at least some) people 'get' my work.
Happiness is however marred by the fact that I am in the midst of a nasty flu bug and my creativity along with my energy is zapped.
I am off to London on Thursday ( if I am recovered) to spend some quality time with a good friend and do some cultural gallery hopping.
My assessment work is all up & hopefully looks good?
God, what a week so far though… 2 sick kids now and then today I'm ill too. I was really lucky I got all the work up in the end but am supposed to have been in work this week too which is looking unlikely now:(
Anyway…I have posted some photo's of my assessment space. All comments welcome.
The works are all maquettes of a sort for next term when I will be working on a Piano piece. Suspended animation or flatpack assembly? I am unsure yet but I cannot wait to get started I know that.
Having had only 3 hours sleep last night I can't quite believe I got through today. My little boy was awake from 3.30 am with a fever and cough and as such I am working on a different planet from most people today I think.
However…I am nearly there, I finished the second in my 'songbook' series and added the very final touches to 'radiogram'.
I still have to put the 'airfix' type models on the wall & tidy up. Print ALL of my journal & then ..final call….I will sleep…
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
