Stephen Baird is a self-taught photographer who started taking photographs for a local community newspaper in the early 80s.
He recently gained an Honours Degree in Art History with the Open University to give a theoretical understanding of art, artists and his own practice.
Stephen's main projects concentrate on typologies and have been influenced by the architectural studies of the Bechers, the darkness of Bill Brandt, and also by the use of colour in the seventies by William Eggleston
