Showcasing brand new work (and others) from Tina Mammoser's English Coast series of paintingsThe horizon line is, generally speaking, approximately 3 miles away from the average viewer. This is based on a mathematical formula for a triangle that takes into consideration the curvature of the Earth and a person's height. "2.73 miles" is the distance calculated with the artist's actual eye height – the point of view for all her paintings of the sea horizon from her cycling route along the coastline.
