An exhibition celebrating 20 years of the Contemporary Craft Network High quality contemporary crafts will be on show at this exhibition, showcasing the works of well established and more recent members.the exhibition will demonstrate the current ethos of the Contemporary Craft Network compared to when it was established 20 years ago.Established at the Pea Rooms in 1988 by Kate Naylor-High and six other founding members and originally named the Lincolnshire and Humberside Contemporary Crafts, the society’s purpose was for local crafts people to offer support to each other and has since grown to support the crafts in general, no longer tied to one region. In fact exhibitions have, over the years taken members as far afield as Estonia and Russia.the groups members are specialists in a variety of disciplines including; ceramics, sculpture, fine leatherwork, felt work, tapestry, weaving, textiles, silver, gold and jewellery, glass, paper, woods, furniture, and mixed media. visitors will have an opportunity to speak to members of the society throughout the duration of the show. For more details of the Contemporary Crafts Network, its members and their work visit:www.contemporarycraftsnetwork.co.ukor contact the contemporary craft network exhibition officers:Stevie Davies; [email protected] Mabbutt; [email protected]
