The gallery will be hosting: Arts Council funded Contra-Invention is a tongue in cheek, playful exhibition by Brighton Artist ‘Mocksim’ using photographs of parked cars taken by Traffic Wardens and enlarged to life size. There is a chance to meet the Artist and to discuss his work in his talk ‘From Jacquard to Jpeg’ at 2pm on Saturday 23rd June. Macarbe Macclesfield an exhibition by Congleton based artist group, Electric Picture House. Exploring Macclesfield’s mysterious and strange history, inspired by Doug Pickford’s book of the same name. Pom Pom Forest by Chester based flash mob Artist, Caroline Backhouse. A wonderland of suspended Pom Poms with the chance to create your own to add to the ever growing installation! And finally rounding off a cracking festival line up with, A Beautiful Disaster – conceived by Artist Julia Snowdin it is an installation of 160 opaque knitted cocoons complimenting Macclesfield’s silk heritage.
