Nir Alon, Anna Brownsted, Emma James, Susie Johnson, Idit Elia Nathan, Caroline Wendling, Sarah Wood and Rachel Wooller present site responsive work, exploring the influential shadows of war and conflict. Drawing on the capacity of art to snatch meaning from the chaos of human existence, this exhibition aims to articulate something of what war means for our generation, from the echoes of WW1 to more recent international conflicts in Vietnam, Sarajevo and Israel Palestine..
Babel is a performance by Caroline Wendling, in many languages with speakers reading peace poems in their mother tongue. Together the many tongues and voices create a soundscape for peace.
On Sunday 11th November, writer Ali Smith will be reading from Caroline Blackwood’s On The Perimeter 11:30am- 5pm.
