Wirral-based conceptual art collective the Shrew Collective in collaboration with sculptor Angela Sidwell present a group site specific sculpture project in St Luke's Church, Liverpool City Centre. Artists: Angela Sidwell, Jane Copeman, Barbara Harrison, Bernard Howden, Emma Oliphant, Jenny Swift, Jo Swift, Marie-Louise Williams. St Luke's, bombed in 1941, has been preserved as a place of reflection and strange tranquility in the centre of a thriving commercial area. The sculpture was built on site. The project began as a residency and developed pragmatically, organically, and during the making the artists discussed the work with visitors. Now the installation is fully functional. Visitors are invited to write or draw a message or wish list of items or ideas for human well-being and happiness in the future, and post this in a 'nest' or pocket in the installation. Please note: for safety reasons the church may be closed in bad weather (no roof) – if it's windy please double check opening times on the day with our hosts Urban Strawberry Lunch 0151 709 7562, or 0771 432 8415.
