Simon Hitchens' sculptures are about presence and absence. The work stems from a seminal sculpture, entitled 'In the Presence of Absence' for which Hitichens received a grant from Arts Council England. The sculptures share the shape of the cube as a perfect form and raise questions in the viewers mind about the initimate relationship in each sculpture.
