This paper based workshop is a creative and engaging experience where you will learn some fundamental paper folding techniques, which can be applied to a broad range of design disciplines. You’ll also be making cranes, animals or 3D geometric shapes mobile to take home or gift your friends.
At the end of the session, you will come to appreciate the versatility of this simple, humble and often overlooked medium – paper.
The workshop will be run by the local artist Frances Yeung (aka yikki), she is a multidisciplinary artist who loves to explore different mediums from installation to immersive experience. She finds herself coming back to paper-based art form time and time again, and longing to hone her skills and consolidate her knowledge in this area.
This workshop accompanies the Artist On My Street Exhibition (27 May – 11 June) at Arcadia Gallery, 32 City Arcade, Coventry CV1 3HW.
