Angela uses the process of painting to explore the human form. Her work evolves through a method of pouring and dripping a limited palette of earth-coloured inks onto textural handmade papers. The intrinsic qualities of the water-based media are allowed to flow, alchemically marbling into organic form and line. Her work is influenced by her attraction towards eroded surface textures that reveal a passage of time, and draws inspiration from sculpture and friezes from ancient cultures.
