Aid & Abet reinvent their warehouse space this July with Art As A Full Time Hobby – a celebration of DIY resourcefulness, hands-on making and everyday ritualistic activities withincontemporary art practice. Ten selected visual artists, collectives and musicians from across the UK will enliven the space throughout the month with a diverse programme of playful and improvised events, featuring film screenings, creative workshops, music nights and talks. The large project space will be subdivided with temporary walls, platforms and a stage, creating an environment for the production of new experimental work live on site andenabling visitors to engage with the artists’ development process. Over the five weekends you can see radios being transformed into musical instruments, sticker making workshops, automatic film-making, cyanotype prints and a phonetic publication.
