Art in Romney Marsh 2012 is a contemporary arts project providing an opportunity for artists to create site specific work in response to the inspiring medieval churches of Romney Marsh. Romney Marsh is located in a unique landscape on the south east tip of the Kent coastline, within easy reach of Ashford, Rye and Hastings. The juxtaposition of contemporary art and the ancient church sites creates an opportunity for an exciting dialogue between the ancient and modern. Artists include Ros Barker, David Drey, Michael Healy, Ruth Martindale, Nova Marshall, Aya Mouri, Anne Parfitt, Shelley Parker, Cathy Rogers, Julian Rowe, Bela Emerson & Toby Tatum, Grace Siregar, Julian Walker and Sally Waterman. Art in Romney Marsh 2012 will take place over 4 weekends 22/23 and 29/30 of September, 6/7 and 13/14 of October. The exhibition opening times are 1.00pm to 5pm.
