Over six days, local artist and illustrator Michael Cunliffe Art will be transforming a three and a half metre steel bar into a work of surreal, tattoo inspired art using oil paint and the bar’s own metal surface to create artwork that plays with the boundary between image and object.
Stop by between 10am and 5pm from the 19th to 23rd of May to watch him work, browse a collection of his artwork and sketchbooks or just pop in for a chat over a cup of the best coffee north of the Tyne, courtesy ofHairy Bear Coffee.
Michael will also be giving a series of short lunch time talks and demonstrations for anyone interested in oil painting, surrealism or life as an artist in general
