The talk will be followed by questions, refreshments and time to look at Bellingham’s exhibition MONUMENT. FRESH FRUIT + TABLES is a new book of texts and drawings by artist David Bellingham to be distributed free of charge to selected libraries from 13 September 2008. FRESH FRUIT + TABLES uses the bookform and its distribution a central part of the work. It circumvents the usual commercial distribution systems for art books and artists’ works. Around 200 specialist libraries throughout the UK have been selected to receive reference and loan copies. A further selection of key libraries in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling will receive large quantities for library users to take away and keep, free of charge. www.freshfruitandtables.com
