'I Love London' is The Malthouse's first installation presenting the culmination of a series of workshops exploring multimedia art practice and what it means to live in and love London by students from Barking Abbey and Eastbrook schools. Led by Godfried Donkor with support from Studio 3 Arts and based on Donkor's SPACE exhibition 'Story Of a London Township' earlier this year, it forms the first of three commissions for the Artists Programme which aims to introduce young people from Barking and Dagenham to the creative and cultural industries. After showing at The Malthouse the exhibition will be on show at The Barking Learning Centre, 2 Town Square, Barking IG11 7NB from 25th July – 8th August and open Mon – Fri 9am – 7pm, Sat/Sun 10am – 4pm.
